About The Position
The Media Specialist (Instructional Designer) position at Mookini Library, UH Hilo, involves providing support to faculty in the design, development, and maintenance of courses that meet program and course learning goals. The role enhances the educational experience at all levels, focusing on pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy. Responsibilities include planning and conducting workshops on instructional technology tools, developing multimedia instructional methods, and assisting faculty in using instructional technology effectively. The specialist will also serve as the primary campus support contact for the Lamaku Learning Management System, coach faculty on online course development, and research instructional trends and technologies. This is a full-time, permanent position with an expected start date in December 2024, pending funding and clearance.
