About The Position

Responsible for promoting the positive image of the Cherokee Nation to the media and the public through the use of audio, video and computer equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An additional two (2) years of experience in a related field.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Design software.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
• Must have received Media Specialist and computer training.
• Must have working knowledge of computer graphics programs, knowledge of basic maintenance practices for BETA and DVC video equipment, and familiarity with standard three-point lighting techniques.
• Must be able to demonstrate non-linear editing experience, experience in single and multiple camera video productions, and basic audio production skills.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
