About The Position

Responsible for promoting the positive image of the Cherokee Nation to the media and the public through the use of audio, video and computer equipment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
An additional two (2) years of experience in a related field.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
Must have received Media Specialist and computer training.
Must have working knowledge of computer graphics programs, knowledge of basic maintenance practices for BETA and DVC video equipment, and familiarity with standard three-point lighting techniques.
Must be able to demonstrate non-linear editing experience, experience in single and multiple camera video productions, and basic audio production skills.
