About The Position

This position is ideal for a candidate who demonstrates compassion, a commitment to excellent customer service, critical thinking and problem solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities include all general media room duties, including filing and downloading image data to PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and fulfilling legal requests. Utilizes Department of Radiology Information System to track images and the disposition of the interpretive report. Responds to image requests via phone or internal request system per departmental standards. Treats patients, staff, physicians and the general public in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of Administrative Assistant/Medical Office experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Strong communication skills, both written and orally.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding skills required.
• Knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented with strong ability to multi-task required.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player or independently to balance and prioritize multiple requests.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all general media room duties including filing and downloading image data to PACS.
