About The Position

Manufacturing liquid media by following a batch records and SOPs requiring good documenting practices, aseptic techniques, and attention to detail • Maintaining an inventory of media components and completed liquid media preparations • Proficient in data collection and management • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace • Managing a media production schedule in a team environment • Maintaining JIRA board to track status, requests, and deliveries of media orders from researchers • Communicating with requestors on media preparation activities, observations, and status of preparations • Basic troubleshooting with team if issues arise or media specifications are not met.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) years experience in Media Prep, preferably in a non-academic setting.
  • High School diploma plus six (5) years lab experience or equivalent experience required.
  • Able to work on your feet, standing or walking up to 80% of shift.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, strong math skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office, and know how to use a computer to access the internet.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
