Who We’re Looking For: We’re in search of a Media Planning Supervisor that’s passionate about innovative media planning and ready to join a fast-growing discipline. This role will report to the Media Strategy Lead and oversee the planning, implementation, optimization and reporting of media campaigns across various channels to meet our marketing and advertising goals. We believe media strategy is littered with opportunities to fight sameness, and that potential is only realized when creative and media are well integrated. That’s why we created the media discipline at Zulu and see it as a key contributor to delivering work that cuts through. What You’ll Be Doing: Based in New York, this role will build 360 media campaigns and oversee the full media planning process from brief to post report. They will be key stewards of client relationships, helping them achieve and surpass their business goals.They will contribute to the continued growth of Zulumatic by providing excellent client service and sharing their media knowledge with fellow Zuligans across the agency.

Requirements

  • A passion for media technology, research, and emerging trends.
  • A unique perspective on the media landscape and where opportunities lie.
  • A proactive approach to unlocking campaign potential and professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and reporting on full funnel campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
  • The ability to synthesize information such as client briefs, media results, brand research/trackers, brand lift studies, etc. into clear goals or outcomes.
  • Experience or eagerness to work in social platforms for media planning and creator campaign development.
  • An effective and respectful communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • An organized and collaborative self-starter.
  • 4 years of media experience in planning, buying and campaign management, preferably with direct client experience
  • Budget tracking and ownership experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Powerpoint, comfortable with Google equivalents.

Nice To Haves

  • Facebook or Google Certified, additional platforms a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of the North American paid media landscape.
  • Experience with media planning and reporting tools such as Vividata/Telmar and Comscore.
  • Familiar with Looker Studio, Tableau or live dashboard software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Strategy Lead and other team members to develop comprehensive, media strategies aligned with our marketing objectives, comms strategy and target audience.
  • Lead the media planning process, which involves researching and selecting media channels, negotiating media rates, building measurement frameworks and managing media budgets.
  • Oversee the execution of media campaigns across various markets and channels, such as digital, social media, out-of-home, audio and more. Ensure campaigns are launched efficiently, within budget, and in line with the established strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand their business objectives, marketing goals, and target audience. Attend client meetings, presentations, and discussions to provide media expertise, address concerns, and present campaign results.
  • Use media and research tools, as well as platforms, to inform strategy, planning and reporting.
  • Assess client briefs and build workback schedules, briefing internally and external partners as needed
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, highlighting key performance metrics, insights, and recommendations for future campaigns. Provide analysts with guidance for campaign dashboard and reporting development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media vendors for RFPs and ongoing education. Stay informed about industry changes, new advertising opportunities, and emerging media technologies
  • Responsible for media financials including MPAs and BCRs.
  • Provide relevant POVs and updates.
