About The Position

The Media Planner constructs the strategic foundation for both traditional and digital media plan development, ensuring that all tactics are grounded in these guiding principles within the multicultural Asian American market. You will work closely with clients and all internal and external partners, coordinating efforts to ensure streamlined communication and that tactical plans are delivered and executed in a timely and accurate manner. You have experience in developing media plans and in gathering and interpreting data. Now, you are seeking to challenge yourself as a STORYTELLER, aiming to impress our clients by applying your analytical skills in a creative and insightful way. This is not a remote role. Candidates must live in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan or surrounding areas to commute to the office 3 days a week.

Requirements

  • A four year college degree or equivalent in Field.
  • 2+ years media planning experience in traditional (Print, TV and Radio), digital or programmatic media (DV360) as a junior or mid-level planner in a media or advertising agency.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, negotiation skills, mathematical abilities with accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Demonstrated strong oral/written communication in presentation and writing skills.
  • Strong work ethic - highly organized and diligent.
  • A confident self-starter who is solutions-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration; but also capable of working independently when needed.
  • Fluency in an Asian language is required for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with entertainment and automobile clients is highly desirable.
  • Full service agency experience preferred, but not required.
  • Preferred technical proficiency, particularly with media systems (DV360, GWI, MRI, Nielsen (NMI), Prisma).
  • Experience presenting creative work in a culturally relevant context is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and present sound, strategic cross-channel media plans based on client marketing direction and media landscape knowledge.
  • Assist traditional media, digital and programmatic media planning for national media campaigns targeting Asian American audiences.
  • Maintain budget control and ensure execution of media plans by authorizing approved media schedules and monitoring buys/schedules.
  • Attend and/or contribute and present plans to the client group, maintaining strong relationships with clients and partner agencies.
  • Transform data into actionable insights through strong storytelling by connecting the dots across channels.
  • Maintain all activity, including requesting and presenting added value and regular status reports.
  • Engaged in optimization of digital campaigns using Campaign Manager 360, Search Ad 360, and client dashboards.
