About The Position

The Media Factory Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping functions, including processing orders, managing shipping requests, and ensuring efficient hand-off of packages to carriers. This role supports account management by resolving customer shipment issues and generating end-of-day reports, contributing to a clean and goal-oriented work environment.

Requirements

• Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written form
• Math skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately
• Familiar with commonly used practices, concepts and procedures within the field
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from management and other departments in a timely and accurate manner
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and execute solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) specifically with use on spreadsheets and reporting tools
• Ability to work independently and oversee production with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and perform multi-tasks successfully
• A certain degree of creativity and innovation is required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience with leading or supervising a team with a minimum of 3 people
• 2 year minimum of work experience in fulfillment/warehouse environment
• Ability to operate lift trucks and pallet jacks
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to perform assigned work in a standing posture for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily order processing through designated shipping/mailing systems and assembly lines
• Coordinate changes in shipping methods as instructed by Management
• Schedule pick-ups with various carrier/courier services
• Review, investigate and/or resolve issues with carriers regarding shipments
• Interact with carriers/couriers regarding shipment statuses and maintain continuous communication with Management
• Monitor shipping area, stations and verify all packages are processed accordingly
• Delegate and instruct shipping personnel while maintaining a high level of service and productivity
• Participate and contribute in process improvements and adhere to the Quality Management System
• Prepare and verify outgoing presorted mail using internal systems and USPS portal
• Perform any additional tasks assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean and goal-oriented work environment.
