About The Position

The Media Editor is crucial for visually representing the Sunbrella brand through photography, video, and other multimedia content. This role involves editing compelling visual assets for marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling across digital and print platforms. It demands a high level of refinement, accuracy, and attention to detail. The Media Editor will collaborate with the Sunbrella Creative Director, Designers, and Marketing Managers on various creative initiatives for business, designer, and consumer audiences. Key responsibilities include interpreting creative briefs, executing established creative direction, and ensuring all content aligns with the Sunbrella brand vision, marketing strategies, and objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in photography and videography editing, with a strong passion for creating engaging social media content.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality visual content tailored for various digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, animation, and video production, particularly for social media channels.
  • Strong creative portfolio showcasing expertise across photography, video, and multimedia storytelling.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt quickly to change.
  • Working understanding of cross-channel social strategies and audience growth principles.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to test, learn, and innovate new approaches to content creation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (BFA in photography, new media or other visual arts) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Edit, retouch, and color-correct high-quality product and lifestyle imagery, including social first content for use across digital, email, and print.
  • Edit and produce engaging video content such as promotional pieces, product features, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Develop and execute original visual concepts and multimedia content for social media, driving engagement and audience growth.
  • Interpret creative briefs, plan, set up, and execute on-site and location photo/video shoots, including lighting and directing subjects.
  • Organize, rename, and properly archive image and video assets across internal servers, web DAM systems, and brand platforms.
  • Partner closely with the brand and marketing teams to ensure all content maintains brand consistency and supports go-to-market strategies.
