About The Position

The Media Director provides strategic leadership across one or more client accounts and products, owning the full-funnel digital media vision—from awareness and consideration through conversion, retention, and growth. This role defines channel and touchpoint strategy across the funnel, bringing deep knowledge of digital platforms, performance dynamics, and audience journeys to guide strategy, outcomes, and optimization direction. The Media Director leads and develops teams through coaching and strategic guidance, and partners closely with Activation and Data & Analytics to ensure integrated, high-quality execution that drives both brand and performance impact. This role is ultimately accountable for client relationships, strategic recommendations, team deliverables, and the overall quality and impact of the work. The ideal candidate has overseen complex, reach-driven and performance-driven digital accounts with multiple products and understands how platforms, algorithms, and measurement frameworks work together to drive results. Quigley-Simpson is seeking a seasoned digital media leader and strategic thinker to oversee one of our premier accounts—someone energized by building smart, creative media strategies, collaborating with partners across the marketplace, and guiding teams to deliver consistent excellence. This individual will be a true leader who brings both media innovation and team development experience—someone who thinks holistically about the evolving media landscape, sets clear, strategic direction, and actively supports teams in bringing that vision to life.

Requirements

  • Eight+ years of media agency experience, including at least five years leading and managing performance-driven digital account teams
  • Proven experience overseeing large media budgets, with a strong focus on ROI and optimization
  • Experience developing and guiding brand awareness and upper-funnel marketing programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong problem-solving and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance trends, assess results quickly, and guide strategic adjustments across channels
  • Ability to develop clear, compelling, visually pleasing presentation decks grounded in strong strategic storytelling
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and dependable, with strong follow-through
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Committed to timely and responsive client communication
  • Knowledgeable in legal, regulatory, data privacy, and confidentiality requirements across media and marketing categories

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior strategic lead for assigned clients, deeply understanding business and marketing objectives and translating them into full-funnel digital media strategies
  • Own performance frameworks, KPI definitions, and optimization roadmaps across digital channels, guiding teams on where and how to drive efficiency, scale, and impact
  • Define and evolve holistic, full-funnel digital media strategies that span awareness, consideration, conversion, retention, and growth
  • Bring strong media marketplace and platform perspective to strategy development, balancing proven performance levers with innovation and emerging opportunities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop media teams through coaching, strategic guidance, and performance development while ensuring high-quality deliverables and deadlines are met
  • Serve as a master deck builder, creating visually compelling, story-driven presentations that clearly communicate strategy, performance insights, and recommendations
  • Develop strategic media approaches for both annual planning and individual campaigns, leveraging historical performance, marketplace dynamics, and evolving consumer behavior
  • Author clear, informed POVs and thought leadership on media trends, technology shifts, platform changes, and consumer behavior
  • Stay ahead of industry, platform, and algorithmic changes, translating innovation into actionable strategy and guidance for clients and internal teams
  • Ensure that media strategies consistently balance measurable performance outcomes with forward-thinking innovation
