About The Position

EchoPark Speedway is seeking a reliable and energetic Media Center Assistant to support race weekend operations in the NASCAR Media Center. This role is essential in ensuring the media center is properly set up, maintained, and supported throughout event days. The successful candidate will assist with logistics, basic hospitality, and operational needs for credentialed media members, NASCAR personnel, and internal staff. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with irregular hours during race weekend.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior event operations, hospitality, or administrative support experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with NASCAR, media operations, or motorsports culture is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with media center setup and breakdown, including arranging tables, chairs, signage, and equipment.
  • Support day-to-day operations of the media center during race weekend, ensuring the area remains clean, organized, and functional.
  • Provide courteous assistance to credentialed media, staff, and NASCAR officials as needed.
  • Assist with distributing media materials, schedules, and other printed items.
  • Help coordinate hospitality items such as snacks, beverages, and meal setup (as applicable).
  • Monitor supply levels and restock materials as needed throughout the day.
  • Assist with troubleshooting basic logistical issues (seating needs, signage updates, printing needs, etc.).
  • Communicate with the Communications/PR team regarding media center needs or issues.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while working in a high-visibility environment.
  • Be prepared to work irregular hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule.
  • Follow all safety procedures and venue policies.
