As a Media Asset Librarian, you play a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring EWTN’s programming reaches audiences accurately and on time. By maintaining a precise and reliable media inventory, managing metadata, and coordinating closely with scheduling, traffic, and acquisitions teams, you help safeguard the integrity and accessibility of EWTN’s broadcast archive. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy directly support seamless program scheduling, timely airings, and responsible stewardship of EWTN’s media assets—advancing the Network’s mission to share the teachings of the Catholic faith with viewers around the world. The Media Asset Librarian is responsible for maintaining an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all broadcast programming materials received or shipped by the Network. This role supports the scheduling and traffic teams by ensuring program availability, accurate metadata, and proper routing of materials. The Librarian plays a key part in upholding the integrity and accessibility of EWTN’s media archive and scheduling database, coordinating closely with internal departments to support timely airings and acquisitions. Candidates should be highly organized multitaskers with strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The role requires advanced computer skills, experience with media or asset management systems, and prior work in a media, broadcast, library, or content management setting. Familiarity with the Catholic faith and alignment with EWTN’s mission are essential, as are the ability to meet physical job requirements. Experience in nonprofit or Catholic media organizations and knowledge of broadcast scheduling or media catalog systems are preferred.
