About The Position

This internship consists of hands-on experience in Education, primarily related to our Summer Camps. Working as a team, interns will be responsible for maintaining the Summer Camp Flow. Monday-Friday, interns will assist in the classroom with Lead Teaching Artists as well as Assistant Teaching Artists. It is a great experience in learning what kind of content is effective and attention grabbing, learning classroom management, and hands-on experience with children in the theatre classroom setting. On Fridays, interns will help prepare and execute tasks for camp performances at 3pm, as well as prep for camps taking place the following week, and run the merch table for camp T-shirts.

Responsibilities

Assisting with Camp-85%
Helping the Teaching Artists with facilitation of activities in the classroom.
Overseeing care of students while having meals
Preparation and cleanup – 15%
Helping with program preparations and cleaning up (examples: making copies, preparing materials, cleaning, moving tables)
