About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service is seeking full-time Medi-Car Drivers to transport wheelchair-bound individuals to healthcare facilities, hospitals, testing laboratories, and more. The role requires a commitment to providing safe and efficient transportation while ensuring the comfort and care of patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Must have successfully passed the Company's required lifting test, Map test, and completed the interview process.
• Functional communication and writing skills in English.
• Possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to safely operate a vehicle in various conditions, including daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate adequate levels of skill in all areas required of a Medi-Car Driver, including the ability to move a wheelchair up and down stairs, in and out of the Medi-Car.
• Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in their training as a Medi-Car Driver.
• Provide safe transportation, including accurately discerning street names through map reading and correctly distinguishing house numbers and addresses of business locations.
• Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
• Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition, monitor all fluid levels and gauges, and report all mechanical problems with the vehicle immediately.
