About The Position
The Medi-Cal Biller position at Walnut Creek Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a vital role within the accounting department, focusing primarily on Medi-Cal and Managed Medi-Cal billing processes. This position is essential for ensuring that the facility maintains its outstanding reputation in the healthcare industry, particularly in providing quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the financial operations of the facility, contributing to the overall mission of Generations Healthcare, which emphasizes compassionate and competent care for residents. In this role, the Medi-Cal Biller will assist in the implementation of day-to-day functions of the accounting department. This includes balancing daily census data with the Nurses' census, completing initial and re-authorization Treatment Authorization Requests (TARs), and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared for approval. The position also involves entering and maintaining account data on the accounting computer system, researching and performing collection activities on accounts, and managing resident trust accounts. Additionally, the Medi-Cal Biller may be required to perform various Bookkeeper Assistant functions, such as handling correspondence and administrative tasks as directed.
