About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician and Direct Care Worker to join our team. This role involves providing essential support to individuals in a healthcare setting, ensuring their medication needs are met while also offering direct care and assistance with daily living activities. The schedule is 7a-7p, working 2 days a week and every other weekend and every other holiday, with available pick-up time through a scheduling app. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma/GED from the United States and Direct Care Worker Certificate or a CNA certification
• Valid Certification as a Medication Technician through the State of Pennsylvania with observations.
• Previous experience in a direct care role needed
• Strong understanding of medication administration and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be punctual and have good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor and document patients' responses to medications and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and medication administration in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in training and continuing education to stay current with best practices in medication management and direct care.
