The Med Tech provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents of the community as well as assists with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice. This role involves maintaining a working knowledge of all policies and procedures, reporting incidents, performing housekeeping duties, and responding promptly to resident calls and emergencies. The Med Tech also assists in planning and conducting activity programs, ensures resident attendance at meals and activities, and communicates resident status and community information. Key responsibilities include attending medication trainings, completing medication cart audits, passing medication administration observations, communicating resident medication needs to the HCD, re-ordering and documenting medication administration, and assisting new residents with their move-in transition. The position requires adherence to confidentiality policies and representing the community in a positive and professional manner.
