About The Position

The Med Tech position at Touchmark involves providing essential care and support to residents in a memory care setting. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. Med Techs are responsible for medication assistance, vital statistics documentation, and fostering a compassionate environment for elderly residents.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have completed a state certified CNA or NAC course, with current certification in Washington
• Home Care Aide certificate is acceptable if currently enrolled in a CNA training school
• Med Techs must have Nurse Delegation completed and experience as a caregiver and/or Med Tech
• Willingness to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification if not already certified
• Genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment

Responsibilities

• Review and understand the unique service plan for every assigned resident each shift
• Assist with bathing, dressing/undressing, and other activities of daily living
• Answer call lights promptly to ensure the safety of residents
• Escort residents to and from apartments, activities, and dining rooms
• Prepare the dining room, take orders, and serve meals in the memory care setting
• Take and document vital statistics
• Perform medication assistance as directed by licensed staff
