Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an Iowa-approved Medication Aide (Med Aide) course (75-hour or equivalent)
Listed on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry as a Medication Aide or CMA
Current CPR & First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented personality

Nice To Haves

Prior caregiving experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

Administer medications per physician orders and state guidelines
Document and monitor medication administration accurately
Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, mobility, etc.)
Support dining service, activities, and social engagement
Respond compassionately to emergency calls
Keep resident areas safe, clean, and welcoming
Partner with nursing staff to ensure each resident receives quality care
