About The Position

Performs established clinical laboratory procedures and examinations in laboratory which require exercise of independent judgment. Supervises laboratory in absence of other laboratory administrators. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient. In addition, she/he must possess the ability to assess patient data relative to age specific needs and provide care as described in policies and procedures.

Requirements

• NYSDOH Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required.
• Must meet NYSDOH supervisor requirements (a minimum of six years full-time experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting).

Responsibilities

• Supervise laboratory in absence of other laboratory administrators.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles over the life span of the patient.
