About The Position

The Resident Assistant II position at The Ackerly at Sherwood is a caregiver role focused on providing direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and medication administration as permitted by state law. Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a caregiver.
• Completion or enrollment in specific medication training required by state statute.
• Completion of other state-required education classes according to statute.
• CNA or Home Health Aide certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Administer medication and assist with medication management as allowed by state statute.
• Support and orient new resident assistants to the community standards and practices.
• Act as shift lead when required by community standards.
• Ensure compliance with state-required education and training for caregiving.
