About The Position

Exceptional Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Med-Surg Floor Tech with Telemetry experience or would be willing to learn telemetry to join our patient-centered team in a dynamic micro-hospital environment. As a small, high-performing 24/7 facility, we value every team member and provide opportunities for meaningful contributions, rapid skill development, and direct impact on patient outcomes. This is a PRN (as-needed) position for the float pool that covers the ER, Med-Surg/Telemetry

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an EMT , CCMA , Telemetry Tech, Nurse Tech , or equivalent patient care role in an acute care setting
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

Provide continuous telemetry monitoring for Med-Surg patients
Ensuring timely detection of rhythm changes
Accurately documenting rhythm strips, trends, and patient data in the electronic health record
Promptly recognize and report significant changes to the appropriate nursing staff.
Assist Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and physicians in delivering high-quality patient care
Perform vital signs monitoring and EKGs
Conduct point-of-care testing and basic wound care
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Med-Surg unit environment
Ensure proper inventory and organization of supplies and equipment
