About The Position

As a Med-Surg Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals recovering from surgery or managing chronic illnesses. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each patient receives personalized treatment and support throughout their recovery journey. This position requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy, safety, and education, as you will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and educating patients and their families about post-operative care. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction within our healthcare facility.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Degree in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • strong clinical assessment abilities, which will be utilized daily to evaluate patients' conditions and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patients and families about care plans.
  • Time management and organizational skills will help you prioritize tasks in a busy environment, ensuring that all patients receive timely care.
  • Critical thinking skills will be necessary for making quick decisions in response to changes in patient status.
  • Candidates must hold current licensure in the State of Georgia and have BLS certification.
  • Must be willing to work weekends when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a medical-surgical nursing setting.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • ACLS
  • Preferred skills, such as proficiency in EHR systems, will enhance your ability to document care accurately and efficiently, contributing to seamless patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' progress and respond to changes in their condition promptly.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and health management.
