About The Position

Exceptional Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our patient-centered team in a 24/7 micro-hospital environment. In our close-knit setting, nurses play a central role in delivering high-quality care, collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and directly influencing patient outcomes. This position is based in the inpatient Med-Surg unit with Telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Current, unrestricted Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license or Texas Compact license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient/family teaching abilities
  • Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients
  • Basic understanding of continuous quality improvement principles
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and EHR documentation (experience with EPOWERdoc a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Telemetry and/or ICU experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care, continuously evaluate outcomes, and adjust nursing interventions to ensure optimal results
  • Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, symptoms, and diagnostic results
  • Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient status or treatment response
  • Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments (including geriatric patients) per policy
  • Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques; educate patients and families on pain management
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and correctly interpret results
  • Identify and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias through telemetry monitoring
  • Perform point-of-care (waived) testing in accordance with clinical laboratory and unit policies
  • Administer medications safely, accurately, and in accordance with patient age and clinical condition
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of patient histories, assessments, treatments, and responses
  • Create a safe, therapeutic environment that minimizes the risk of medical errors
  • Engage patients and families in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Develop and evaluate patient/family education plans based on identified learning needs
  • Uphold hospital policies, the Patient Bill of Rights, and standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act
  • Demonstrate a consistent commitment to teamwork and collaboration
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
