About The Position

Shift: PRN, Rotating, 12 hour What You'll Do The Registered Nurse works at our main hospital campus, reporting to the MedSurg Director and Manager. In this role, you’ll provide professional, compassionate care to inpatients across the lifespan in our 25-bed unit. As a rural hospital, our MedSurg team experiences a unique mix of steady days and busy shifts, offering variety and the chance to use a broad range of nursing skills. Working closely with physicians and the care team, you’ll deliver treatment, education, and support to patients and families throughout their hospital stay.

Requirements

  • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado required.
  • Must have an American Heart Association BLS card upon hire and it must be maintained throughout GHRD employment.
  • Position also requires American Heart Association ACLS, PALS or ENPC certification within 6 months of initial employment and they must be maintained throughout GHRD Employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer one year of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications (including IV), and collaborate with the care team to develop patient care plans.
  • Support patient needs such as wound care, pain management, rest, hydration, and nutrition.
  • Document patient progress, update records, and communicate changes to physicians.
  • Provide patient education and advocate for patient needs.
  • Promote health and assist in preventing or managing illness, injury, and disability.
