About The Position

Heartline Staffing is seeking a Med-Surg Ortho Registered Nurse for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Tallahassee, Florida. HEARTLINE STAFFING is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. The Med-Surg Ortho RN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic needs. This role requires autonomous clinical judgment, ongoing patient assessment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care. The Registered Nurse will collect comprehensive patient data, analyze assessment findings, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment. Responsibilities include administering medications, educating patients and families, advocating for patient safety, and ensuring effective use of time, supplies, and equipment while maintaining accurate documentation. Employment Details: This is a permanent, full-time position with day or night shifts, including rotating weekends.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience required
Acute care experience strongly preferred; LTAC experience considered
Active Florida RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
Current BLS certification required
ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire
BSN preferred
Strong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

Acute care experience strongly preferred
LTAC experience considered
ACLS preferred
BSN preferred
