About The Position
Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a LPN for the Medical Surgical Unit, 2 West. The only unit across Sentara with the PRISM (Premiere Recognition in Specialty of Medical-Surgical) Distinction Full-time- Nights 7pm-7am This unit's patient population is comprised of Stroke, Kidney Failure, Diabetes, Diagnostic Testing, GI Surgical, Respiratory and also includes patients requiring chest tubes and trachs. The nurses on this 25 bed medicine unit are committed to providing world class care and have an active voice in decision that impact workflow. The unit educator offers individualized orientation and oversees ongoing educational development to help advance your career. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into leadership or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
