About The Position

Has a professional responsibility for planning, performing, evaluating and reporting CLIA ’88 waived, moderately complex and highly complex testing. This includes pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical function; performing the day-to-day work of MLT/MLS to include performing quality control and quality assurance; instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; monitoring supply inventory; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with health care providers, patients, and other hospital personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree preferred with training to include the completion of a certified MLT/MLS program.
• MLT/MLS certification by ASCP, AMT, AABB or equivalent organization required.
• Must be able to work independently.
• MA-P phlebotomy license required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 3 years Generalist experience in a hospital laboratory including Blood Banking and phlebotomy preferred.
