Let’s talk. What you’ll tackle Partner with Operations Technicians and Engineers to slash downtime and lift throughput. Diagnose and repair high-speed equipment; record work with accurate, timely documentation. Dig into PLC/HMI issues when appropriate and share insights with the team. Complete scheduled PMs and help plan improvements via offline rebuilds/prep-work. Deliver crisp shift handoffs and keep supervisors/management informed. Operate within Bausch + Lomb’s 12-hour rotational schedule (requirement). Provide occasional travel support for equipment builds, integrations, or training (minimal). Support plant manufacturing systems under guidance of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years maintaining and repairing production equipment, including preventive maintenance.
  • Detail orientation, strong communication, and a team-first approach.
  • Read/interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics (required).
  • Hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Apprenticeship or associate degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • OSHA knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Regulated industry documentation (medical device or similar) experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting exposure; robots/servo experience a plus (SCARA, FANUC, Staubli, IAI).
  • Injection molding (electric and hydraulic) familiarity preferred.
  • cGMP understanding and cleanroom experience advantageous.
  • Equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics
