About The Position

Amentum is seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Person to join our team for an OCONUS construction project. This project will last approximately 8-months. This will be an opportunity to work on a high-impact project in a dynamic environment. The position will require the following attributes and responsibilities:

Requirements

• Must have a Secret US Government Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• OCONUS Experience
• 4 years working in the trade
• Construction Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace
• Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals
• Be responsible for the planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments
• Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work
• Select materials necessary for the work
• Install and test FCU / Piping / Insulation / Cladding
• Install and Test Chiller Unit to include piping / insulation / cladding
• Install fire suppression piping and components
• Install toilet plumbing and fixtures
• Assist with the overall project goals, to include material handling, housekeeping and various activities that may arise during the course of the work
• Performs other duties and activities as directed
