Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? We have an opportunity for a MCL Quality Technical Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA. The schedule for this position is Mon-Thurs 4:00PM to 2:30AM (onsite role).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other measuring equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to five years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Technical degree preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
  • Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Testing: Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
  • Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
  • Sort priorities as needed
  • Operate multiple creep, stress rupture, and tensile mechanical testing machines for Specimen destructive testing
  • Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.
  • Log testing data in UGA (as needed)
  • Maintain required log books
  • Check/ validate testing accuracy
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform 6s each shift
  • Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
  • Complete all training within the expected time given
