Requirements

  • University degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • More than 3 years of extensive working experience in mechanical, hands-on, laboratory, or shop experience
  • Must have excellent analytical, creative, problem solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
  • Excellent time and self-management skill, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control, FMEAs, product specification documentation
  • Ability to be onsite five days a week in the Piscataway, NJ facility with some remote flexibility when available.
  • Experience as the product development lead and product launch experience
  • Prototype platforms (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Python, Controlino)
  • Automatic data acquisition systems
  • Knowledge of plumbing or fluid systems
  • QA, product validation skills
  • Scrum/Agile processes

Responsibilities

  • Contract to Hire
  • New product and prototype evaluation
  • Designs and implements tests to assess the quality and functionality of products, collaborating with product engineering teams, troubleshooting errors, and reporting results to ensure products meet quality requirements.
  • Leverage engineering knowledge and experience to provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the product development process across teams.
  • Improve and maintain the testing laboratory.
  • Lead to improve laboratory efficiencies by assisting in the design, construction and calibration of test fixtures and rigs.
  • Develop automatic data acquisition and control systems in support of product and component tests.
  • Support of field testing and pilot installation.
  • On-site support for field testing and pilot. Solve problems caused by engineering issues that occur during field tests and pilots, and achieve safe and continuous operations.

Benefits

  • The contract rate for this position is $55.00 per hour
