About The Position
The Mechanical Technician position at Marathon Pipe Line Company is a critical role focused on the Southeastern portion of the BANGL Pipe Line, which extends from Upton County, TX to Cotulla, TX. This position involves working in and around Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) and executing Operations & Logistics for Marathon Pipe Line. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including the repair and maintenance of API 6D valves, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, tank equipment, and meters. The role requires a strong ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently while also being part of a collaborative team environment. All duties must be performed in compliance with regulations supporting DOT, Environmental, Safety, and Regulatory standards. The position may require travel, callouts, and overtime as needed, and candidates must reside within 45 minutes of the reporting location, which may include Midland, TX or Carrizo Springs, TX.
