Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a 1st shift C02 laboratory technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have basic mechanical, electrical skills, and/or HVAC/R
  • Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Follow engineering laboratory instructions to assemble CO2 compressors for developmental testing.
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, cutting, welding, and brazing equipment.
  • Utilize hydraulic/electrical/mechanical schematics and exploded view blueprints.
  • Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests or builds.
  • Review data for compliance with applicable build standards.
  • Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab.
  • You will be responsible for completing required tests or builds and communicating results with engineers.
  • You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.
