Ensure production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Seeking a self-motivated, experienced and dedicated individual.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on industrial equipment (including extruders).
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Mechanical tasks: troubleshoot and repair gear boxes. Troubleshoot and replace bearings, chains, belts and pulleys. MIG weld, Stick weld, drill and tap threaded holes. Read mechanical prints.
  • Electrical tasks: troubleshoot and replace AC and DC drives, temperature controls, start/stop electrical controls, troubleshoot PLC's, replace and wire 3-phase motors, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits. Read electrical, building, machine and flow diagram prints.
  • Basic plumbing skills, knowledge of fittings and thread types.
  • Complies with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintains and completed all required records.
  • Individual must be available to work overtime as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required, or assigned by Supervisor.
