About The Position

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining all production equipment on the production floor. This role involves mechanical maintenance requirements for high-speed filling, packaging, equipment component preparation, and compounding. The technician will perform troubleshooting of high-performance production equipment and evaluate critical spare parts. They will maintain equipment logs and documentation in accordance with SOP, cGMP, and all updated guidelines. The technician will complete necessary corrective and preventive work orders, as well as assigned training, OEM, and outside contractors. They will perform all set-ups and changeovers and/or repairs of equipment as necessary per production needs and schedules, working closely with Operations and engineering personnel to meet all production objectives and site goals/KPIs.

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical maintenance of production equipment.
• Knowledge of SOP and cGMP guidelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot high-performance production equipment.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work overtime and extended shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with OEM and contractors.
• Previous experience in a high-speed filling and packaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
• Troubleshoots and repairs high speed filling and packaging equipment in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
• Maintains equipment maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with SOP and cGMP guidelines.
• Completes necessary Corrective and Preventative Work Orders.
• Performs set-ups or changeovers of equipment as necessary for production schedule.
• Advises supervision of tools, materials and parts needed to maintain production equipment.
• Works closely with all Maintenance, Operations & Engineering personnel in attaining all production goals and objectives.
• Must be able to work overtime extended shifts and/or weekends.
• Must be able to train to be gowned qualified and maintain gowning status.
• Work with OEM and contractors in troubleshooting and gets hands on training of new equipment.
• Must be proficient with hand and power tools.
