About The Position

R. J. Corman Switching Company is hiring Mechanical Team Members to join our growing team in Ste. Genevieve, MO. Responsibilities: Perform railcar inspections to identify defects. Perform railcar repairs per AAR standards. Track and document repairs as required. Ensure that vehicles and shops kept clean & safe. Ensure that the employees are working in a safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Railcar Mechanical experience preferred.
Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching experience a plus.
General knowledge of hydraulic and power tools.
Must have good communication and people skills with demonstrated ability to develop team work and work with all levels of personnel in achieving our goals.
Able to perform physical strenuous work.
Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
Able to walk, climb, and maintain balance on equipment, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, rails and ballast in a safe manner.
Able to navigate into confined spaces if necessary.
