About The Position
The Mechanical Systems Specialist will support operational excellence across HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety systems in over 200 buildings in the portfolio. This role involves vendor oversight, inspections, system troubleshooting, and documentation. The role will report to the Mechanical Systems Manager.
Requirements
- Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system components
- Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation, drawings and schematics
- Basic proficiency in building automation systems (BAS, BMS)
- 3+ years of experience in facilities management or mechanical systems maintenance
- 5+ years of experience in Facilities, Maintenance or related field
- Prior experience working across cross-functional teams
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience with facility maintenance or operations in a large building portfolio
- Hands-on experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Tririga or similar)
- Familiarity with LEED standards, energy efficiency practices, and building codes
- Proficiency in Apple platforms including Keynote, Pages, and Numbers
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Strong customer service orientation with attention to detail
- Willingness to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Enthusiasm for learning and implementing new technologies
