About The Position
As a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Globe, you will play a vital role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems used in industrial machinery and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that meet customer and production requirements. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BSME, BSEE, or BSIE). Minimum of seven years of hands-on engineering experience in industrial machinery or material handling equipment design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA).
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with industrial automation, robotics, and controls.
- Proven experience managing engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for advanced manufacturing equipment, utilizing CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate system performance and reliability.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve technical challenges related to mechanical systems.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure that designs meet performance, quality, and cost targets.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and support continuous improvement within the engineering department.
- Assist in developing project timelines and budgets while tracking progress and managing resources effectively.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, Operations, and Sales, to address system performance, installation planning, and customer requirements.
