About The Position

As a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Globe, you will play a vital role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems used in industrial machinery and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that meet customer and production requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BSME, BSEE, or BSIE). Minimum of seven years of hands-on engineering experience in industrial machinery or material handling equipment design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA).
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial automation, robotics, and controls.
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for advanced manufacturing equipment, utilizing CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate system performance and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation, including technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve technical challenges related to mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure that designs meet performance, quality, and cost targets.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and support continuous improvement within the engineering department.
  • Assist in developing project timelines and budgets while tracking progress and managing resources effectively.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, Operations, and Sales, to address system performance, installation planning, and customer requirements.
