About The Position

This Opportunity is within our Lexington-based high-throughput cell sorting development team. The Systems Engineer will be directly involved in the design, assembly, testing, and optimization of our innovative high-throughput, microfluidic-based cell sorting platforms. The position will collaborate with a diverse technical team on product development both for R&D and cGMP operations. This role will have a direct impact on several globally important applications of our current and future cell isolation technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related engineering fields
  • 3+ years in engineering environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) for designing complex assemblies with tight tolerances.
  • Strong understanding of DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly) principles.
  • Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping, GD&T/tolerance stack-up analysis, and iterative design validation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for identifying and resolving design-to-manufacturing challenges
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document engineering processes clearly for tech transfer and scaling
  • Ability to self-organize and work effectively with limited supervision

Nice To Haves
