You will be the Mechanical Engineer (Sustainment) for the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOFGLSS) team. Our team is responsible for designing and completing modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms in support of the warfighter. What You Will Be Doing Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, SOF GLSS (Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for sustainment of various military ground and maritime platforms in support of our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) Program in Lexington, KY. Your Responsibilities Will Include Collaborating with lead engineers, project engineers, and systems and design teams to support existing platforms to ensure the customer fleets’ continued operation. Reviewing customer requests, deconflicting technical data, determining and developing solutions to issues, submitting and processing necessary documentation. Development of component installation, assembly, and part designs and drawings for integration of equipment, including: mechanical systems, armor, radios, antennas, transmitters, power equipment, server systems and components, etc. Documenting and processing engineering releases and changes. Contributing to customer reviews. Forward thinking, flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
