About The Position

This role provides mechanical and equipment-focused technical support to Auto-Chlor field personnel via phone and video. You'll troubleshoot commercial dish machines, chemical dispensing systems, and related mechanical equipment, guiding technicians through diagnostics and determining when issues require escalation. This individual will also support the development of troubleshooting documentation and training materials for use in Auto-Chlor's LMS.

Requirements

  • Background in mechanical troubleshooting, field service, equipment repair, or technical diagnostics
  • Strong ability to diagnose issues verbally and guide others through hands-on troubleshooting
  • Comfortable supporting technicians who may be onsite with equipment while you troubleshoot remotely
  • Experience working with mechanical systems, electro-mechanical equipment, fluid systems, or chemical applications
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-engineers
  • Experience contributing to technical documentation or training materials preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office and video conferencing tools
  • Highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time mechanical troubleshooting support to field technicians via phone and video conferencing
  • Diagnose equipment performance issues involving mechanical, electrical, and chemical systems
  • Guide technicians step-by-step through troubleshooting when equipment is not functioning as intended
  • Assist in resolving chemical dispensing, dosing, and application issues
  • Identify patterns in recurring issues and escalate complex or unresolved cases appropriately
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve field-reported issues
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, reference materials, and technical documentation
  • Create and update LMS training content focused on diagnostics and equipment functionality
  • Support new product rollouts by serving as frontline technical support
  • Maintain and update parts manuals and technical reference documentation
  • Assist branch teams with parts identification, part numbers, and ordering guidance
