About The Position

As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate mechanical maintenance across the ramp‑up operation, ensuring mobile equipment, village facilities, NPI, and the paste plant (once constructed) are maintained to a high standard. You'll provide daily supervision, technical guidance, and planning support to a small team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant preventative and reactive maintenance. Your key responsibilities will include: Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities, prioritising safe, efficient, and compliant operation Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team Lead fault‑finding and troubleshooting efforts to minimise downtime and maintain operational readiness Ensure completion of preventative maintenance programs, including lubrication, fluid sampling, filter changes, and scheduled inspections. Oversee maintenance of village and NPI assets, including water systems, HVAC units, fuel systems, light towers, utilities, and minor building repairs. Coordinate safe use of cranes, lifting equipment, and specialised tools Maintain accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and reporting Once complete, oversee maintenance readiness and ongoing mechanical performance of the paste plant Foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture You are an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with a safety‑first mindset, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to guide a small, dedicated team. Requirements

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or relevant mechanical background
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, or remote-site maintenance
  • Competence in servicing mobile plant, mechanical equipment, and varied site infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across equipment and facilities
  • Commitment to safety systems of work and permit-to-work processes
  • It is essential that you hold the Statutory Supervisor Schedule 26 qualification

Nice To Haves

  • HR or MR licence would be advantageous
  • CN non-slewing crane certification is essential
  • Familiarity with Pronto and INX is preferred
  • Additional High-Risk Work Licences, e.g., EWP, dogging, rigging, forklift (desirable).
