About The Position

Skillforce has teamed up with an industry leading general contractor to find a Mechanical Superintendent with 9+ years of superintendent experience overseeing multiple field crews and subcontractors on plant and pump station projects. Ideal candidates are adaptable to support other project types as needed and bring strong initiative, planning and problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a steadfast commitment to safety.

Requirements

9+ years of heavy civil construction experience with a strong focus on plant and pump station type projects
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, changing project environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, industry best practices, equipment, and QA/QC
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to work on local projects within 1–2 hours of home base

Responsibilities

Lead, assign, and motivate field crews while maintaining the highest safety standards
Ensure crews have the tools, equipment, materials, and information to perform work safely and efficiently
Manage subcontractor performance, schedule, budget, and productivity
Interpret project plans and specifications; track costs and productivity
Oversee QA/QC to ensure top-quality workmanship
Direct all construction activities on assigned sites and proactively address changing conditions
Manage documentation, submittals, material tracking, and weekly safety reporting
Plan and manage manpower needs throughout the project
