Stacy Witbeck is seeking a highly skilled Superintendent in Water and Wastewater treatment plant construction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for field operations, including supervision of all field mechanical construction work - directing activities of workers, supervising construction inspection and field surveying activities. Supervise construction efforts to ensure projects are constructed according to specifications, within budget, on schedule, with the appropriate people and equipment while ensuring the safety of workforce. Plan, coordinate, schedule, and supervise on-site functions and provide input with engineering, and material control to make sure project objectives are met. Strong focus on development of craft workforce and the ability to attract and retain quality, skilled craft employees Provide direction to Foremen and other Superintendents to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the projects are met. Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards to ensure project goals are achieved. Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment. Reports on project status regularly through meetings or written correspondence. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Please note--Requirements are essential, but preferences have flexibility.

Requirements

  • 10+ years related experience required as a foreman/superintendent managing crews for the installation of mechanical pipe and equipment within water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Experience in WW/WWTP construction. Including process piping, treatment systems and structural concrete.
  • Treatment plant, pump station, lift station and other water/wastewater facilities experience is required.
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Travel may be required
  • Mechanical piping within facilities (inside the fence) – This is not yard piping
  • Mechanical equipment; valves, pumps, and advanced water treatment systems (UV reactors, AOP, RO trains, etc.)
  • Interface between structural and mechanical components
  • Interfacing between mechanical and systems components/controls
  • Superior ability in supervising and motivating subordinates within the framework of a collaborative, employee-owned business model.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Position requires daily in-person attendance at the workplace.
