City: New York City State: New York Mechanical Inspector – New York City SUMMARY: Join Our Team as a Special Inspector for immediate Building, Transportation, & Infrastructure Projects! Are you ready to take on dynamic challenges in the heart of New York City's construction landscape? We are currently seeking driven and qualified Special Inspectors to join our team for immediate project needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Architecture
  • 1+ years’ experience inspecting construction work in the city of NY, varied in Size and complexity.
  • Proficiency with Chapter 17 of the NYC Building Code
  • Valid certification(s) in one or more of the following: AABC Test and Balance Technician Certification NEBB Air Balancer Technician Certification ICC Mechanical Inspector (Residential) ICC Mechanical Inspector (Commercial) NYS Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect
  • Current training in crucial safety protocols, including fall protection, scaffolding and ladders, work-zone safety,.
  • Minimum of 10-hour OSHA construction safety certification.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver inspection reports promptly and accurately
  • Possession of a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to pursue additional certifications to enhance professional skills and expertise
  • Aptitude for collaborative teamwork as well as the ability to work independently when necessary
  • Familiarity with relevant construction industry codes and regulations
