About The Position

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology. Responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging mechanical and thermal simulation software. Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • PhD, or MS with 3+ years of industry experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerodynamics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in C++.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming methods.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with distributed/multi-threaded programming.
  • Experience with meshing techniques, finite element analysis, and heat transfer analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical and thermal simulation for chip, 3D-IC, package, and PCB.

  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues.
