The Mechanical Reliability Engineer will provide safe, high quality, cost-effective, technical support to the Rome mill Maintenance/Reliability initiatives. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive Reliability Centered Maintenance strategy within the assigned areas to support mill goals, objectives, and key performance metrics.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent professional work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with reliability improvement methods, technologies, and tools.
• Experience working with predictive maintenance tools.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Reliability Centered Maintenance strategy.
• Work with Operations and Maintenance staff to implement strategic maintenance initiatives.
• Provide leadership and support for Mechanical/Electrical Integrity program compliance.
• Ensure effective utilization of the computerized maintenance management system (SAP).
• Lead planning, lubrication, and precision maintenance systems.
• Direct PM/PDM programs and lead maintenance benchmarking activities.
• Utilize root cause failure analysis (RCFA) to improve overall reliability.
• Manage Capital Projects in assigned areas.
• Facilitate planning and direction of maintenance outages.
• Minimize unscheduled downtime and ensure planned maintenance.
