About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for researching, planning, and designing equipment layouts directing and coordinating activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of metal forming equipment across 4 domestic plants. Role is Hybrid within 50 miles of one of the plants- East Troy WI- Hopkinsville KY- Salisbury MD or, Eupora MS. Travel to 40% of the time.

Requirements

  • BSME or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience with progressively increasing responsibility in a tube or metals manufacturing or finishing facility.
  • Excellent written and communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong team and leadership skills.
  • Good computer skills including MS office software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project software and Solidworks working knowledge.
  • Experience with NEXGEN or other CMMS/Asset management is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately up to 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical and process engineering support to all tube production and finishing facilities.
  • Ensure reliability considerations are integrated in new and current equipment and system upgrades.
  • Research equipment and equipment components.
  • Develop support resources (consultants, vendors, etc.) as required.
  • Design equipment and equipment modifications to meet plant and process requirements.
  • Aide in capital projects and acquisitions.
  • Aide in solving equipment, quality, safety, infrastructure and environmental problems and issues.
  • Manage projects as required.
  • Supports and participates in Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing Excellence activities and initiatives.
  • Oversight over asset management company wide-CMMS.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
