Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Ability to use hand tools to create and maintain operating equipment
  • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate plans to refinery contractors (strong communication skills- written and verbal).
  • Ability to diagnose and solve problems during the actual applications.
  • Performs work safely in all settings.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Documented mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical education. Preference is given to those with process knowledge of upgrader, refinery or petrochemical units.
  • Understanding of refinery piping circuits and PFD drawings of the application (strong mechanical aptitude).
  • Valid passport or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide on-site support for delivery, installation, repair/maintenance, and demobilization of RTI mechanical rental equipment, ensuring project excellence.
  • Directs refinery personnel and contractors on the staging and demobilization of RTI mechanical equipment.
  • Measures and tracks project status using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Assists Mechanical Project Managers as requested.
  • Create and share lessons learned to improve project performance.
  • Performs/leads teams to work safely in all plant settings. Has the ability to identify potential safety incidents and mitigate as necessary to prevent incidents from occurring.
  • Perform other duties as required to support RTI’s business needs.
