Summary: Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team! This role provides full technical and administrative leadership for commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects, guiding work from bid award through final client acceptance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing projects in healthcare and/or education environments and can lead teams, subcontractors, and internal partners to deliver safe, high-quality results. Responsibilities: Oversee mechanical and plumbing scopes from bid acceptance through closeout and final client acceptance Drive execution to align with design documents, budget, schedule, and quality expectations Facilitate project meetings to support planning, communication, issue resolution, and on-time delivery Serve as a key liaison between field trades, internal departments, client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors Build and manage job cost breakdowns and schedules of values to support positive cash flow Review, approve, and submit monthly billings to ensure accurate and timely invoicing Track costs and labor production, forecast monthly performance, and report status during cost review meetings Lead change management by estimating extra work and issuing change orders in a timely manner Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, as-builts, and O&M manuals to meet contract requirements and schedules Release and manage procurement of long-lead equipment to support site logistics and project milestones Develop manpower plans with trade supervisors to ensure staffing aligns with project needs Manage subcontractor scopes to meet contractual requirements and performance expectations Provide technical guidance on drawings, constructability, installation methods, and equipment selection Conduct routine site visits/inspections to confirm productivity, material usage, equipment efficiency, and contract compliance Own punch list tracking by distributing items, following up, and responding in writing to ensure timely completion Maintain accurate weekly meeting minutes and deliver clear project status updates during staff meetings Participate in weekly project management meetings and provide input on departmental action items Mentor and develop assigned Project Engineer(s) to build competencies needed for future project leadership Execute work safely at all times, follow safe work practices, and use required PPE when entering designated areas Complete required safety training (OSHA 10/30 and other safety-related courses) and DPAS training as needed for travel to job sites Required Qualifications: 8+ years of construction management, estimating, and/or trade supervision experience within commercial mechanical and plumbing construction Hands-on project management experience in healthcare and/or education environments Strong working knowledge of construction financials, cost controls, labor productivity tracking, and forecasting Ability to interpret construction documents, coordinate engineering-related needs, and support field execution decisions Proven capability to manage schedules, logistics, procurement, and subcontractor performance Excellent communication, organization, and supervisory skills Education/Certification Qualifications: Four-year engineering degree or an equivalent combination of commercial construction and/or engineering experience Envision Talent Solutions is an equal-opportunity employer.
